Wow! Our weekend getaway was absolutely amazing! The rooms were luxurious, with breathtaking views and a comfortable, huge bed. The staff were so welcoming and kind, and the game rangers made our experience unforgettable. We were treated to delicious meals, with generous portions and top-notch quality. And let's not forget the game drives - we had a fantastic time with our knowledgeable and friendly ranger, spotting some incredible wildlife scenes. a peaceful and wild experience that we won't be forgetting anytime soon!
While the food was delicious and of high quality, some of the meal options were limited to wild game, which made it a bit challenging for those who prefer other options. Additionally, the lack of signage leading to the hotel was a bit confusing, as we had to rely on memory rather than relying on Google maps.

The location of the lodge was absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful hills and nature. the wildlife in the park was exceptional, with sightings of the "Big Five" and even rare animals like the black rhino and cheetah. the game drives were the highlight of the stay, with our guide Byron going above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out not only the animals but also interesting facts about birds, trees, and animal tracks.
The service at the lodge was a letdown. the dining hall was understaffed, resulting in slow service and long waiting times for our food to be served.

The location of this place is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and beautiful wildlife right on your doorstep. the rooms are luxuriously decorated and the bathrooms are equipped with all the amenities you would expect. the staff provides excellent service, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. the breakfast spread is delicious and there are plenty of facilities available for your enjoyment, such as a spa and game drives.
The complimentary drinks during the sundowner game drive are limited to one per person, and there is no flexibility to change your order once it has been placed. It would be more convenient if there was a selection to choose from on the spot.

Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! They really made us feel welcome. The rooms and facilities were in pristine condition. We also enjoyed the complimentary drinks and chocolates after our game drives.
The dark chocolate mousse lacked flavor and had a strange texture. The berry cheesecake was lackluster.

We couldn't have asked for a better value for our money at Shepherd's Tree Game Reserve. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and we loved the outdoor shower. The location was breathtaking, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.
The breakfast experience could have been improved, as it took a while to get our tea and some of the buffet items were gone by the time we arrived.
